How much does it cost my parish?
Receiving donations with Oraré is free: there is no monthly fee and no setup cost, and Oraré charges no fee on donations. The only cost is Stripe’s fee on each European card donation: 5% + €0.05 on donations under €5, and 1.5% + €0.25 on donations of €5 or more. Parish communication (announcements, bulletin, events, songs and schedules) costs €30/month (VAT included), or €25/month when paid yearly, with the first month free and no card needed.
How and when does the parish receive the money?
The money goes directly to your parish bank account through Stripe, our payment provider. Oraré never holds the funds: every donation is yours from the very first moment, and payouts are transferred automatically and on a regular schedule.
Are donations tax-deductible? Do you issue valid tax certificates?
Yes. Oraré automatically generates tax certificates under Article 24 of Law 49/2002 and exports the Modelo 182 file ready to submit to the tax authority. Your donors can recover up to 80% of the first €250 donated and 40% of the rest.
Is it hard to set up? Do I need technical knowledge?
No. We set up your parish and send you the stickers ready to place on the pews. Configuration takes a few minutes and we guide you every step of the way. No technical knowledge required.
Will my older parishioners be able to use it?
Yes. They just tap their phone on the sticker, like paying with their phone in a shop, and donate in a few seconds. No app to download and no accounts to create.
Does it replace the collection basket?
No, it complements it. Oraré opens a new channel for those who no longer carry cash, without taking anything away from the usual ways of giving. Many parishes see their total collection grow as a result.
Is the payment secure, and what happens to personal data?
Completely. Payments are processed by Stripe, a global payments leader, with end-to-end encryption, and Oraré never stores card data. We are GDPR-compliant and treat your parishioners’ data with the utmost confidentiality.
Do I have to sign a long-term commitment?
No. Oraré has no lock-in: donations carry no fee and the communication subscription can be cancelled whenever you want.

Oraré was born in a parish in Barcelona. We saw that parishioners wanted to contribute but didn't carry cash. That priests spent hours with Excel and certificates. That existing technology wasn't designed for parishes.
So we built what we wished we'd found: a simple, beautiful tool that works from day one. No complications, no tech jargon, no learning curves.
